This hardy, disease-resistant variety performs well in USDA Zones 5–8, producing abundant midseason crops on sturdy canes. Cumberland is one of the most dependable black raspberries available, combining excellent flavor, vigor, and reliability for home gardens and small farms alike.

Planting & Care:
- Full sun; space plants 3–4 ft apart in rows 8–10 ft apart
- Plant in rich, well-drained soil (pH 6.0–6.8)
- Keep soil evenly moist during the first growing season
- Provide light trellising or wire supports to manage canes
- Tip-prune new canes in summer when they reach 24–30" to encourage branching
- Remove old canes after fruiting each year
- Performs best in Zones 5–8
