Trachycarpus Fortunei, also known as the Chusan Palm is a tall, evergreen palm tree with dark green leaves growing in a fan shape and reaching up to 1m in length. In summer, large sprays of small, yellow flowers bloom in plentiful amounts. On some trees, flowers are followed by blue-black fruits in autumn.
Plant Trachycarpus Fortunei in well-drained, chalky, sandy or loamy soil and in full sun or partial shade where it will grow best. This palm can reach over 12m in height and a spread of 1.5-2.5m over a period of 20-50 years.
