Product Information:
Released in 2003, the Sharp MD-DS5 is dedicated to disc playback, and does not have disc recording functionality.
It supports MDLP.
Sharp claimed that it could deliver approximately 200 hours of LP4 mode playback when using a gumstick battery and AA/LR6 battery together. 
It features a one-bit digital amplifier.
The inline remote control has a backlight that matches the colour of the player. In this case, green!
It weighs 75 grams without a battery or disc installed.
