I am so enamored with the illustrator of this book that I've taken to buying almost everything he does. The illustrations here are so cute and playful! My daughter wants to read this almost every single day. She loves to point out the bugs on the different page and we make up stories about them. She laughs at the antics of the ladybug on each page and loves that there are different animals hidden in with the bugs. Really can't say enough good things about this book. My only caution is that there aren't really a lot of words, so if you aren't comfortable ad-libbing or making up stories you may find it a bit boring. But if you make it interactive it's really fun!

Just because it's a board book doesn't meant it's exempt from damage, just makes it last a little longer than a paperback. I also REALLY like that there is a page that lists the bugs seen along with their names which is helpful in teaching your little one! My son enjoyed this beautiful book. :)
