Meprolight built the Mepro RDS Reflex Sight for both-eyes-open techniques with fast target acquisition and tracking at close to medium ranges. Its large anti-reflection coated window, clear and simple 2 MOA red dot reticle, and uncomplicated design make it perfect for both-eyes-open shooting techniques and for stacking with other optics such as NVDs. Four selectable brightness levels are controlled with a simple rotary switch with a manual off switch plus a motion sensor that puts the sight to sleep if it detects prolonged inactivity to conserve battery power and will wake the sight up when motion is detected for fast reaction when needed. Made of a lightweight and durable aluminum housing, the sight has low-profile windage and elevation adjustment dials and an integrated dual lever quick release Picatinny rail mount for easy installation and removal without the need to re-zero. For added convenience, the RDS runs on a single easy-to-find alkaline or lithium AA battery.
