The Bradley 9531-48 Stainless Steel Heavy-Duty Shower Curtain Rod is an excellent option for completing a commercial washroom or bathroom in a hotel or hospital. The shower curtain rod is designed to work perfectly with Bradley 9536 Shower Curtain Hooks and the models in Bradley's shower curtain range. The curtain rod flanges have an attractive No. 4 architectural satin finish. To craft the curtain rod flanges, 22-gauge, type-304 stainless steel is employed. The curtain rod itself is fashioned out of type-304, 17-gauge stainless steel tubing, which measures 1-1/4 inches in diameter. The shower curtain rod is 48 inches in length. Two countersunk holes are featured in each flange. These holes accept stainless steel mounting screws, which are provided by the manufacturer for your convenience. Once installed, the mounting hardware of the shower curtain rod remains exposed, making it easy to adjust the rod or move it if necessary in the future.

Both don't work well. My solution is simple, just install a "stop" below the holes. My solution is ugly but works. It took me about 15 minutes to modify.
