These should be used either end of roads that are narrow enough for only one vehicle. Roads that have passing places where vehicles can pull in and let oncoming traffic pass, can use sign face 822 PASSING PLACE where appropriate. This sign is available with different text heights

This sign is available with different text heights (known as X heights). These can be changed to suit the speed of the road, it is important to note that changes in X height will impact the overall size of the sign face.
