Andrea Mowry's "Shift" designs took the knitting world by storm a few years back, just as her "Fade" designs did several years ago. If you want to jump on the mosaic-knitting bandwagon, this is a great project to start with. Participants must be comfortable with knit and purl stitches. 

Knitted using two or three colour-changing yarns, this project is fun and engaging. In this two-session advanced-beginner-level workshop you will learn:

• the mosaic knitting technique
• four types of increases
• knitting an applied i-cord edge
• decreasing in pattern
• pattern-reading skills
• mattress stitch 

Materials needed:

• two to three colours of sport or fingering weight yarn (designer used colour-changing yarns)
• 3.75 mm 24" circular needles
• pattern holder, highlight tape, KnitCompanion app, or other method for reading your pattern
