Its performance attracted sales to various Police forces and our version is modelled on the vehicles used within the Northumberland County Constabulary. The force became the Northumberland Constabulary in 1969, which doubled in strength, following the absorption of the Newcastle-upon-Tyne City Police and Tynemouth Borough Police authorities.
