The Five Satins were one of the many doo-wop vocal groups to achieve popularity during the genre's boom years of the mid-50s, and their huge debut hit "In The Still Of The Night" has become one of the most played oldies on US radio over the decades. They began their career as The Scarlets before becoming The Five Satins, recording for Bobby Robinson's Red Robin label, and then the small Standord label, for whom they recorded their debut hit before it was sold to Ember, the label where they made most of their best-known titles, before releasing tracks on MGM/Cub, United Artists and Chancellor in the early '60s. This 56-track 2-CD collection comprises all the titles released on those labels, including their Ember album tracks, from their 1954 debut through to 1962, by which time their main heyday was over, although they have had a long and successful career on the revival circuit in the USA. It's a must for anyone interested in collecting the best of the material from the classic groups of the doowop era.

Totally worth buying! The assembly is tinkertoy easy and they look nice! I bought four of the six tiers for my small home art studio.. one for books and three for all else. I didn't want big heavy shelves and these are light and stable!
I put them with a couple other storage pieces I already had, painted a piece of 1x12 lumber white, to put across the top of them to make one long shelf and installed a couple of battery operated puck lights in them, and voila; a large, stable unit without the intimidating weight or price. If my little art studio were bigger I would buy more of them!

Looks great, gets the job done, definitely not high-end

I purchased not one, but *two* of these shelves for the purposes of storing my massive hoard of plush toys. For what I purchased them for, they get the job done swimmingly and they look great with the rest of my room.
Assembly was simple, and although it was fairly easy to figure out, the provided instruction manual may not be easy for some to make sense of. There are also provided pieces for mounting the shelves to the wall for added sturdiness, and though they are included in the parts list, there are no provided instructions for them.
One thing buyers should be aware of is the shelves and legs may arrive dirty with the dust and dirt from the factory. It's relatively easy to wipe them off with your hand, but it may not be a good first impression.
As other buyers mentioned, a few of the pieces came with visual imperfections that, while easy to hide, may turn away those who are more particular about aesthetics. For the price however, the shelves are still well-made.
Other buyers have mentioned concerns about the sturdiness and stability of the shelves. I cannot comment on the sturdiness as plush toys are not particularly heavy, however the shelves do exhibit a wobble (which is to be expected for this particular make of shelf; one without structural support in between the beams). That being said, though it wobbles, it doesn't feel as if it will fall apart easily. The pieces are all solid wood, as well.
One negative is when I was putting on one of the feet for the second shelf, I'd twisted it tight (as I did with no issue for the other pieces), but for this particular piece it caused the glued in screw component to pop out. I had to use pliers to remove it from the shelf so I could use one of the spare legs instead. I did not face this issue with any other pieces, but it should be kept in mind that the application of glue across the pieces does not appear to be consistent.
All in all, it is a good shelf and I am satisfied with my purchase. I did not expect a pristine or elegant shelf (nor did I intend to buy one), as this is a very fairly priced shelf. I got what I paid for.

This product fits my needs.

I needed a narrow shelf that was tall so I could place the security system tower on the top shelf for a better connection. It was easy to assemble, came in various colors and the packaging was compact enough to handle. It also came with additional parts so you can change the layout from a tall shelf to smaller end tables. Great for small items, books and very versatile. I will be purchasing this product again!
