The Allied Telesis MMC10GT/SP Transceiver/Media Converter is built for modern networks that demand reliability, compact form factor, and seamless copper-to-fiber bridging. The MMC10G series exemplifies Allied Telesis’ commitment to delivering full power and functionality in a miniature package, enabling organizations to grow their networks without sacrificing desk or rack space. Designed to fit in tight workspaces and edge deployments, this mini media converter offers the same performance and interoperability as larger converters while helping reduce energy consumption and environmental impact. Whether you’re expanding connectivity in a small office, lab, or data-center edge, the MMC10GT/SP blends efficiency with dependable performance to keep your network running smoothly.

  • Ultra-compact design: A small footprint hardware solution that frees up valuable rack and desk space while delivering the full capabilities of a standard media converter.
  • Copper to fiber bridging: Enables seamless integration between copper Ethernet networks and fiber links through an SFP module, supporting flexible fiber types and distances.
  • Plug-and-play operation: Auto-negotiation and auto MDI/MDIX simplify deployment, reducing configuration steps and minimizing downtime.
  • Reliable, silent performance: Fanless, rugged construction with solid EMI shielding allows installation in quiet office environments or dense data centers without noise or heat concerns.
  • Versatile deployment options: Desktop or wall-mount capable, making it suitable for office corners, equipment racks, or edge locations where space is at a premium.

how to install Allied Telesis MMC10GT/SP Transceiver/Media Converter

  • Plan your fiber and copper paths: Determine the network segments you want to connect and identify the appropriate SFP module for the fiber link (e.g., SX, LX, or other supported types).
  • Insert the SFP module: Power down the devices if required by your environment, then insert the selected SFP module into the MMC10GT/SP’s SFP slot until it clicks into place.
  • Connect the copper side: Plug a standard Ethernet cable into the RJ-45 port to link the MMC10GT/SP to your switch, router, or end device.
  • Connect the fiber side: Attach the appropriate fiber jumper to the SFP module, ensuring the correct fiber type (multimode or single-mode) and connector type are used.
  • Power up and verify: Apply power to the converter and observe the power and link/activity LEDs. A solid or blinking LED typically confirms a healthy link.
  • Test connectivity: From your connected devices, verify network reachability and throughput across the copper-to-fiber path. If the link does not establish, reseat the SFP module and cables, and confirm module compatibility.
  • Troubleshooting and placement: Position the unit in a clean, ventilated area away from excess heat or dust. If link issues persist, consult the product documentation or contact support for guidance on compatible SFP modules and cabling.

Frequently asked questions

  • Q: What is the MMC10GT/SP best used for?
A: It’s ideal for bridging copper Ethernet networks to fiber links in space-constrained environments, enabling seamless extension of LANs to fiber-connected segments or remote sites.
  • Q: Do I need a specific SFP module?
A: Yes. The SFP module must match your fiber type (multimode or single-mode) and distance requirements. The MMC10GT/SP is compatible with a range of Allied Telesis SFP modules, giving you flexibility to choose the best fit for your network.
  • Q: Is this device hot-swappable?
A: The MMC10GT/SP is designed for straightforward installation; however, always follow safe power-down practices and manufacturer guidelines when inserting or removing components.
  • Q: Can the MMC10GT/SP be mounted in a rack?
A: It is designed for desktop or wall-mount installations, providing flexible placement in small work areas or edge setups. If you require rack mounting, check for an appropriate mounting kit or enclosure option from Allied Telesis.
  • Q: What about power and energy use?
A: The converter is built for energy efficiency in office environments, using a dedicated external DC power supply. Exact power consumption depends on usage and connected modules.
  • Q: Does it support PoE or other integrated power features?
A: The MMC10GT/SP focuses on media conversion between copper and fiber; PoE or power-over-Ethernet features are not standard on mini media converters of this type. For powered deployments, ensure external power supplies and devices are appropriately managed.
  • Q: Where can I find detailed specifications and compatibility?
A: Refer to Allied Telesis documentation and supported SFP module lists. For region-specific terms and warranty information, consult your distributor or the official Allied Telesis support resources.

Super cute and cuper comfortable~
These slippers came very quick with the shipping, and I'm just so happy that they fit amazing. They do have a little lip where the heel is for a little added supports I believe to keep your foot from sliding out as easy. Will they slip out with enough movement? Yeah, but if you're just walking around, it's enough. Typically I tend to go with black colors, but went with the brown this time for a change up. They are so adorable~ They do have memory foam in them, and are very comfortable to wear around the apartment. They do have a hard sole, which is on the thicker side compared to how some slippers have a thin grip on the bottom to be the sole, and is good if you have to wear them outside briefly. The size fits wonderful, not to loose or tight, granted with time and use, they might get a bit loose, but right out of the packaging, and only wearing for a small time around the apartment, they are a glass slipper fit. I stayed to what I normally wear for shoe size, and the size is just right.

Great slippers made very well for a great price!
Size: 10.5-11 Women/10-10.5 Men, Color: Black
I am in love with these cat slippers. Part of me thought they wouldn't be of good quality but when they arrived I was pleasantly surprised! The sole on these slippers is strong and sturdy which was one of the main reasons I purchased these. Prior to owning these I had a different pair of slippers that had a soft sole, every time it would rain my feet would get soggy with these slippers I don't have that problem. The cute cats were the other reasons for purchase, they are just so cute! The stitching on them seems to be sturdy and very well done. AND the best part, THE SIZE RANGE! I am a women with rather large feet, size 12 in women's to be exact. I can never find cute feminine slippers in my size but these not only have my size but they were actually true to size and fit!
