Painted in his classic style, we see nostalgic newsboys sharing the good news with dedicated fans surrounding the beloved Elland Road stadium, as hopeful rays of sunshine through the grey cloud.

Whilst celebrating the bonds that can be created through shared experiences, a major inspiration for Barker’s work is the unique light from the North of England.

Depicting touching childhood, family and romantic scenes, his nostalgic and charming artworks feature his signature neutral palette of greys with splashes of vibrant colour and a unique inner glow created by the manipulation of light and shadow. With the progression of a muted palette, with black and white in transparent glazes to let the muted sepia tones shine through.

What I like about it is that it is wrinkle free and looks great, I would not wear it on a super hot day with a snug fit. I do live in Florida, so that makes a difference. I also ordered the black one, both the blue and the black look very good for dress /casual. It’s polyester so it’s not super soft, which is OK. That also means it does not shrink.
