Nase: Reichhaltig, holzig und würzig mit Nelken, Zimt, Pfeffer, Teer und rauchiger Melasse. Geröstete Kastanien, Beeren und Thymianhonig gesellen sich hinzu.

Der Plantation Rum Guyana 15 Jahre 2007/2022 Teeling Single Malt Single Cask Finish gehört zur jährlich erscheinenden Single Cask Serie der Plantation Rum Abfüllungen aus dem Hause Ferrand. Ferrand hat sich mit dem Double-Aging-Verfahren einen Namen im Rumsegment gemacht, da dieses Vorgehen dem Rum eine enorme Komplexität und Intensität verleiht. Der Plantation Rum Guyana 15 Jahre 2007/2022 Teeling Single Malt Single Cask Finish wird zunächst für 13 Jahre in Ex-Bourbonfässern gereift und anschließend nach Frankreich verschifft. Dort wird der Rum für weitere 12 Monate in ehemaligen Ferrand-Fässern veredelt. Im Anschluss erhielt der Plantation Rum eine dritte Reifung für 7 Monate in Teeling Single Malt Irish Whiskey Casks. Abgefüllt wird der Plantation Rum Guyana 15 Jahre 2007/2022 Teeling Single Malt Single Cask Finish mit 53.7% vol.

Nose : Rich, woody and spicy on cloves, cinnamon and pepper with tar and smoky molasses with roasted chestnut, berries and thyme honey.

Palate : Round and fruitier on orange, peach and plum with maple syrup and leather.

Dies geschieht im Süd-Westen Frankreichs. Der im Jahr 2012 als weltbester Master Blender ausgezeichnete Alexandre Gabriel wählt die Fässer für die Nachreifung stets sorgfältig aus. Meist lagerte in ihnen davor Wein, eine andere Art Spirituose oder sogar Bier. Die verwendete Fass-Art wird je nach Rum einzeln gewählt, um seine einzigartige Charakteristik hervorzuheben. Nur wenige Versionen der Rums von Plantation werden jährlich hergestellt und sind so echte Sammlerstücke.

The dogs love to carry them around, and my little guy even plays with his chew sometimes like it’s a toy.
