The Gold Infrared lamp is a groundbreaking reptile heating product unlike anything previously offered! Using the latest heating technology, it warms your reptiles in a natural way, replicating the heating effect of the sun using infrared wavelengths.
The Gold Infrared lamp gets its name from the golden sheen on the bulb when the unit is off; when the unit is switched on, the bulb gives off a dim red glow. Ideal for basking animals that need a boost of Infrared A and Infrared B to intensify their basking areas without adding additional bright lighting. Infrared penetrates deep into the skin, activating many different chemical reactions, and raising the core body temperature which aids optimal digestion.
The Reptile Systems Gold Infrared Basking lamp is available in 2 different wattages for a wide range of uses: 50W & 100W. The unit should always be hooked up to a dimmer or dimming thermostat to dial in the ideal basking temperature for your reptile precisely.
Replacement bulbs are available separately. Remember to never touch the bulb with bare hands to avoid oils from your fingers getting on the bulb, which can severely shorten the lifespan or cause premature failure from uneven heating.
