The Magnificent Foxface, also known as the Magnificent Rabbitfish or Andaman Foxface, is a truly stunning species showcasing bold white, black, and yellow coloration with a distinct dark facial mask. Hardy, peaceful, and an excellent algae grazer, it brings both function and visual impact to larger reef or community aquariums.

Native to the Eastern Indian Ocean, particularly around the Andaman Sea and Thailand, Siganus magnificus inhabits coral reefs and lagoons, often found in pairs grazing among coral heads and rocky outcrops.

Primarily herbivorous, this species thrives on a diet rich in marine algae, seaweed, and plant-based foods. Offer nori, spirulina, and herbivore pellets, with occasional meaty foods for variety. Feed 2–3 times daily to maintain its vivid coloration and health.

Peaceful and reef-safe with caution. It coexists well with tangs, angelfish, wrasses, and other community fish, but may occasionally nip soft corals if underfed. Avoid aggressive tank mates and provide ample swimming space.

Generally calm and non-aggressive. May display mild territorial behavior toward similar-shaped species but rarely poses a threat to other tank inhabitants.

Recommended for intermediate aquarists. Hardy and adaptable, but requires a mature, stable aquarium with plenty of algae growth and hiding areas.
