This print is truly one of my favourites. I painted it over two sunny evenings in late summer, just after finishing shifts at my part-time job — before I took the leap into being fully self-employed. It holds a special place for me because it reminds me of that in-between stage, when I was working hard and quietly building towards my dream.
I even filmed the process, and there’s a YouTube video of me painting it in my black sketchbook — the original, which I’ll never sell. Around that time, I had just picked up a mini pumpkin from M&S and felt inspired to create the perfect harvest-coloured print as autumn began to settle in. It captures that cosy, golden moment of change and new beginnings.
