Deze Louis Roederer Brut Vintage wordt gemaakt van 70 procent Pinot Noir en 30 procent Chardonnay. De persoonlijkheid van de wijn ontwikkelt zich opmerkelijk na een rijping op houten vaten. 30 procent van de druiven worden gerijpt op eiken vaten. Na het blenden rijpt de Brut Vintage nog gemiddeld 4 jaar in de kelders.

Het grote succes van Louis Roederer

Champagne Louishuis Roederer werd opgericht in 1776 en is een van de weinige overgebleven volledig onafhankelijke grote champagnehuizen in familiebezit. In 1886 had het huis zo'n goede reputatie opgebouwd dat de tweede Louis Roederer door tsaar Alexander II werd gevraagd om Cristal te creëren voor het exclusieve gebruik van de Russische tsaren, en daarmee creëerde hij de eerste Cuvée de Prestige. In januari 2006 kwam Frédéric Rouzaud de 6e generatie van de familie aan het hoofd van het bedrijf. Roederer bezit iets meer dan 200 hectare wijngaarden in de mooiste streken van de Champagne: Montagne de Reims, Vallée de la Marne en Côte des Blancs. Roederer is zelfvoorzienend voor 100 procent van zijn vintage stijlen, en levert tweederde van zijn productie voor Brut Premier. Zo'n hoog aandeel ‘landgoeddruiven 'is zeer ongebruikelijk in champagne en garandeert superieure kwaliteit in alle stadia, van druif tot glas.

Deze Louis Roederer Brut Vintage heeft een intense geur van sappig fruit, rood fruit en hazelnoot die worden gevolgd door subtiele tonen van licht geroosterde cacao, gebak en vanille. De smaak is een explosie van rood fruit, vanille en bloesem. Aan het einde een verfijnde hint van eikenhout die zorgen voor de complexe maar zeer aangename beleving.

Can’t say enough good things about Highland’s Glacial Clay Pomade! Don’t let your initial reaction to its appearance fool you. This stuff is great! It's a good pomade
This clay pomade is easiest to work with when the temperature is around 74F and higher. If the room temperature is around 66F, it takes longer to soften. I have thick, straight hair that sticks out if you cut it wrong. This pomade handles it pretty well. Once it's worked in, it holds the styling together. This stuff does not flatten the hair like regular pomade. Instead, it adds "body" or volume to your hair. There is no gloss. It settles in with no shine in your hair. And like most pomades, this Highland stuff also does a good job moistening dry hands. Another thing about this pomade is that it's hard to wash out, so if you keep it there, you can towel off and style your hair back in place without adding more fresh pomade. With delivery via Prime, it took 7 days, which isn't very prime. I could go to the drugstore and grab another brand of clay pomade in less than a day. This stuff is pricey, which I cannot figure out why. All-natural ingredients means they don't need to formulate compounds to make pomade, so it should cost less, but it's not. While it's a good product, I can't always afford the high price.
