Qubba van Monteleone komt voort uit de exclusieve pre-phylloxera wijngaard 'Cuba'. Gelegen op een hoogte van 500 meter, vlakbij de Alcantara rivier, profiteren deze druiven van een groeiomgeving in een koeler microklimaat. De handmatige oogst vindt plaats in de vroege ochtenduren, waarna de druiven in kleine manden van 10 kilogram naar de kelder worden gebracht om ze in optimale staat te houden. De fermentatie gebeurt met zorgvuldig geselecteerde gisten onder natuurlijke omstandigheden. Na de fermentatie ondergaat de wijn een maceratieperiode van ongeveer 12 dagen, gevolgd door een rijpingsproces van 18 maanden op grote houten vaten van 500 en 700 liter, en tenslotte een flesrijping van 12 maanden. Het bouquet biedt karakteristieke aroma’s van tijm, viooltjes en kersen. Bij het proeven onthult de wijn eerst lagen van gedroogde kersen en rode bosvruchten, vergezeld door een kruidige nuance, en sluit af met een harmonieuze balans tussen tannines en zuren. De afdronk is langdurig en een ware genot voor het smaakpalet. Voor een optimale ervaring, serveer in een Bourgogneglas. We raden aan om de wijn in zijn jonge jaren een halfuur voor het serveren te openen en te decanteren voor gegarandeerd plezier. Santé!

Love these! As I write this review, I’m sitting in my recliner with these on. I have had other silicone socks in the past and would like to share a few of the things that I have learned.
