Het plantaardige conditioneringsmiddel sera Phyto med Protazid bevat zeer effectieve kinine als actief ingrediënt (als hydrochloride), dat wordt geëxtraheerd uit de cinchona-schors. Het conditioneringsmiddel kan worden gebruikt bij behandeling van de witte stipziekte, bij zoet- en zeewatervissen en andere eencellige huidparasieten zoals Ichthyobodo sp., Chilodonella sp. of Piscinoodinium pillulare in het zoetwater.
Siervissen in zeewater, die lijden aan fluweelziekte of anemoonvisziekte kunnen ook succesvol worden behandeld met sera Phyto med Protazid.
sera Phyto med Protazid is voor siervissen in zoet- en zeewater zeer goed verdraagzaam. Het verzorgingsmiddel wordt echter van ongewervelde dieren en algen niet verdragen. Behandel de zieke vissen zo nodig in een quarantaine-aquarium.
