The German Leopard 2A8 main battle tank is the latest model of the Leopard 2 family, which made its public debut in 2023 and is a deep upgrade based on the Leopard 2A7+. This tank is specifically designed to cope with modern high-intensity combat and multidimensional battlefield environments, and has been comprehensively strengthened in terms of protection, firepower, and digital systems. It adopts a new generation of multi-layer composite armor, with an improved 120mm L55 smoothbore gun as the main gun, and upgraded fire control system and target recognition capability.
