Forming its base with a combination of a solid Sitka spruce top and solid ovangkol back and sides, this Palomino produces an endlessly articulate voice with great clarity and sonic detail. Feel the acoustic waves wash over with this great Fender acoustic tonality.
This Vintage Palomino’s okoume neck is outfitted with an effortless Modern “V” profile to travel quickly and smoothly across higher and lower registers on this guitar’s 25.5” scale length. The ovangkol fingerboard is adorned with twenty frets that play comfortably across the 16” radius. A Vintage Viking bridge keeps strings grounded on the body while a bone nut and tilt-back 6-in-line Fender electric-inspired headstock match at the other end for optimal intonation and stringing.
The audible experience of this Vintage Palomino comes to life with the integration of onboard Fender / Fishman Presys VT Plus preamp electronics. This system, utilizing an undersaddle piezo pickup and internal body transducer, embody the full scope of the acoustic voice this guitar is capable of as an ode to the acoustic performer. Soundhole-mounted controls allow easy access to volume and blend control for players to dial in their own balance of tonality for any performance scenario – live audience to solo recording. In addition, this Palomino’s innovative Performance “X” bracing pattern enhances the overall acoustic voice for audience after audience. A vintage-style hardshell case is included with this acoustic travel the road safely.
