Son
Of the renowned Sydney obstetrician, Dr William McBride, who raised the alarm on the anti-nausea drug thalidomide in the 1960s and was later struck off the medical register for falsifying research results in a bid to challenge the safety of another drug. David chose to study Law, firstly at Sydney University and then at Oxford. There he met some British army officers and decided that soldiering was his calling, going on to train at Sandhurst. He commanded a platoon in Northern Ireland while bomb and sniper attacks on British soldiers were still happening.
Civilian life
He worked in security protecting diplomats, journalists and businesspeople in Rwanda in the immediate aftermath of the 1994 genocide and in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Soldier
After growing tired of the travel and the action, David returned to England, where he worked in reality TV. On moving back to Sydney, he briefly joined a major law firm and then joined the Australian Army as a lawyer, going on to serve two tours of duty in Afghanistan, on the frontline confirming or denying decisions made by soldiers under international laws. He was medically discharged with PTSD in 2017.
Whistleblower
In 2018, he was charged with offences relating to national security and is awaiting trial.

The only socks I will buy
Size: 6-10, Color: Halo Gray/Assorted
These are hands down my favorite socks to wear with tennis shoes. Bought my original 6 pack in the store, liked them so much I went buy more and they were gone. These don't slip on your heel like most socks do. Come up high enough on the top of your foot to protect from tongue rubbing (I giggled when I wrote that) and they come in fun colors. Love they are ultra no show and provide padding but people can't see them with shoes on. Five stars!

Amazing socks but false advertising. They changed them.

Okay well I have 4 stars because these are the best socks ever, infact, I threw out all my other socks and switched to just these. No show and they never slip. THE PROBLEM NOW, all the pairs I ordered before had a white symbol, and every time I buy more they have the grey and they are not as low show as my others… I wanted to simplify life and have all the same kind, no matching of colors or slightly different shape, but 4 times now I’ve ordered white symbol and gotten thicker longer ones with gray symbols. I’m considering switching all of my socks to the gray…. But the white symbol ones are way better, they don’t show with hey dudes on and gray symbol ones do now. I’m at a loss. Can someone tell me where to buy 100 pairs of white symbol so I never need to buy another sock again in my life?
