Created through a unique underprint technique where ink drops through the top layer of hand woodblock printing over 8 to 12 printings across a month, the aged cotton front of Painterly Lattice reveals two distinct worlds on a single cushion. On the left, a loose, expressive botanical garden in deep green, teal-blue, dusty rose and dark plum-brown blooms across a soft cream ground — pure painterly abundance. A vertical band of intricate dark green floral block print divides the surface, before giving way to a structured honeycomb lattice of teal-blue and lime-green on the right. Each one entirely unrepeatable -  bearing the fingerprints of the hands that made it, subtle markings and layered tones pressed into the cotton over weeks of printing.

The backing is a soft 45% cotton / 55% linen blend in Damson - a deep, moody plum that anchors the painterly front with quiet elegance. Finished with a 1cm flat flange border. Coloured with azo-free dyes and ethically handcrafted in India, designed in Aotearoa.
