Print Removal & Surface Care
How to Remove Prints Safely:
Use the plastic scraper included with your printer to gently lift a corner of the model, then slowly pry it off. If a large engineering part is sticking too tightly to the cold plate, simply heat the platform up to 50°C via your printer control interface—the warmth will soften the interface layer slightly to assist with a damage-free removal.
- Cleaning Routine: Wipe the plate down using only water and a mild dish soap when grease or heavy workshop dirt builds up. NEVER use organic solvents, especially Acetone, as they will chemically degrade and permanently ruin the specialized SuperTack Pro coating.
- The Nozzle Wipe Zone: For X1, P1, and A1 series machines, the nozzle will repeatedly rub against the designated wiping patch before starting auto-leveling routine. Visible wear in this specific zone is completely normal and will not compromise print quality or nozzle life.
Real-World Maker Tips
- The Silk Filament Rule: While standard Bambu Lab PLA Silk+ is fully supported due to its specialized material formulation, generic third-party Silk PLAs adhere too aggressively and can pull up chunks of the coating. If printing non-Bambu Silk materials, you must select the Generic PLA Silk preset inside Bambu Studio to adjust safety margins and verify your specific material compatibility before committing to a full print.
- TPU Filament Ban: Do NOT print flexible TPU filaments directly onto this plate. TPU forms an unbreakable chemical cross-bond with the soft SuperTack Pro coating, and removing the part will permanently tear the skin off your build surface.
