The year 1941 marked a pivotal period in Australia’s involvement in the Second World War.
Australian forces participated in some of the conflict’s most demanding campaigns across North Africa, the Middle East, Greece, and Crete, while wartime women’s auxiliary services played an increasingly vital role in supporting military operations and the national war effort.
This commemorative 3-coin collection honours the bravery, sacrifice, resilience, and camaraderie of those who served during these defining wartime operations.
Together, the three releases form a unified tribute to Australia’s military and civilian contribution during WWII.
🎨 Design Description
Each coin features a coloured reverse design by Aaron Baggio inspired by the ribbon layouts of historical campaign and service medals associated with the featured wartime operations.
